01 Are the teeth cut into a smile shape?

Even if a very small amount of tooth surface is prepared for the porcelain veneer, more extensive preparation may be necessary for the application of a zirconium crown. During the digital simulation stage, detailed information is provided to you by determining in advance which treatment will be applied and how much dental tissue will be worked.

02 Are the results of smile design permanent?

This depends on the restorative material used and your maintenance habits. Porcelain laminate and zirconium crowns can be used for 10 to 15 years or more with proper care. Regular dental check-ups and oral hygiene play a decisive role in maintaining long-term results.

No. Designing a smile is a process consisting of several stages. Simulation and planning sessions, preliminary applications and actual restorations require separate visits. The entire process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the size of the case. Intensive visit planning can also be carried out for patients coming from abroad.

05 Is there any pain or tenderness after smile design?

As local anesthesia is applied in stages requiring dental preparation, no pain is felt during the procedure. A slight sensitivity which may persist for a few days after the anesthesia ends is considered normal. In case of prolonged or intense pain, it is recommended to inform your clinic.

06 Is there any preparation required before smile design?

Yes. Oral health must be ready for treatment; Problems such as active gingivitis, cavities or broken teeth are addressed first. In addition, professional scaling and, if necessary, whitening are carried out before planning the restoration colors. All of these preparations are determined as part of the treatment plan.
